What do you enjoy most about coaching?

Through my 20 year involvement with coaching individuals and teams, thoroughly enjoying seeing people achieve something that wasn't previously achievable. I enjoy the emotional response people experience through being guided towards a goal.

What else, apart from running, do you enjoy doing?

I'm a massive fan of keeping physically active and mindful about life in general. Rogaines and adventure sport are fun. There's nothing better than paddling a fast boat on a good day too. I enjoy my family and seeing our daughter thriving especially out in the mountains tramping and adventuring. I have responsibilities leading Chess in Canterbury which is a good alternative to the Adventure sports that I compete in.

What is your ideal after run way of relaxing?

I love craft beer and classic Rock. My book case is fairly full, family games are strewn around and obscure youtube clips of concerts from days gone by are always entertaining. Apparently I can cook great pizza and that combined with yoga is an ideal way to chill out.
